Amp
Amp is a cloud coding agent and dev environment. Its agents can now boot a cloud Mac to build, test, and run iOS and Mac apps.
Amp describes itself as a coding agent and development environment. Each agent runs in its own cloud machine, called an orb, and keeps working after you close your laptop. macOS Satellites, announced October 29, 2026, keep the thread on a Linux orb. When the work needs macOS, Amp boots a fresh cloud Mac with Xcode and simulators in about 30 seconds, builds and tests there, and streams the Mac screen in the thread. mac.medium (6 CPUs, 14 GB) is $2 an hour. mac.large (12 CPUs, 28 GB) is $4 an hour. The charge is drawn from plan orb usage, then Amp credits. A Mac is kept 20 minutes after use for follow-ups, then deleted. It is a beta with a waitlist, under Settings, then Experimental Features. For Amp pricing overall, check Amp's site. Last checked October 29, 2026.
