Gemini 4 Carbon

Google's new frontier Gemini model, aimed at long-horizon coding and cybersecurity. Not open to developers yet.

Google announced Gemini 4 Carbon on October 28, 2026. Google calls it its strongest model, with state-of-the-art cybersecurity and long-horizon capabilities. It builds on Gemini 4 Argon, which launched two weeks earlier. Google's claim: Carbon ranks number 1 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v5.0 at 59. Access starts this week with a subset of cyber defenders, then more trusted partners through Google's Fairwind Program. Google says it will reach developers, businesses, and consumers as soon as possible. There is no public access yet. When it launches, Google says the intro price is the same as Argon: $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with cached input 95% off. After the intro period, the price is $4 input and $20 output per million. Google says internal teams have seen it run for days on multi-step engineering tasks. You cannot use it yet.
