OpenAI launched GPT-6.1 Terra on October 26, 2026. It is available to Plus, Pro, Enterprise, and Edu users in ChatGPT Work and Codex, and in the API as gpt-6.1-terra. OpenAI describes it as a fast model for detailed visual reasoning, precise computer use, and clearer writing. The API docs list a 1,050,000-token context window and 128,000 max output tokens. Standard API prices are $1 per 1 million input tokens, $0.05 per 1 million cached input tokens, and $5 per 1 million output tokens. OpenAI says those standard prices are 50% lower than GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol.
